Important Notice from Florida HSMV about Random Re-Test Process

Students that pass the road test at any authorized third party road test service (like Cantor’s Driving School) may be randomly selected for a re-test at the Florida HSMV center when they go there to pick up their driver’s license. This is dictated by Florida Statute 322.56(3)(b) and (e). Cantor’s Driving School has no control over this random re-test process.

Parent or Legal Guardian Must Accompany Minor to Road Test

Students who are under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian who is over 21 years old with valid legal identification accompany them to the driver’s test and sign to allow the minor to be tested. No exceptions! The only person that can sign for a minor to be tested is their parent or legal guardian. No other relative may take the place of a parent or legal guardian. A sibling, uncle, aunt, or grandparent that brings the minor to the road test site does not automatically qualify them as a guardian – legal guardianship of the minor is required.
