Cantor’s Driving School gives private, one-on-one, on-the-road driving lessons 7 days a week. Door-to-door service is provided – we pick you up and we drop you off at your school, work, house or apartment.

Cantor’s Driving School is authorized by the State of Florida to give driver’s road tests. Buy a package of driving lessons and include the road test too!

• Please Note: Driving lessons for after school and weekends are typically booking out 2 – 4 weeks.

• Road Test – Cantor’s Driving School is an authorized 3rd party driver’s license testing service provider. The road test typically takes about ½ hour. Details below.

Policies

These policies apply to driver training services offered by Cantor’s Driving School. By using our services, you are accepting these terms and conditions. Please read our policies.

Package Payment Policy: All packages require full payment for the entire package before scheduling. You can register, pay and schedule online, or call our office (954-740-1103) during office hours to pay, register and schedule over the phone if you prefer.

Refund Policy: If a refund is requested after the purchase of lessons or packages, a $40 administrative fee will be deducted to process the refund. Please note that no refunds will be issued after one year from the date of purchase. Once a refund is processed, it typically takes 5 to 10 business days for the charge to be credited back to the credit card used for the purchase.

Lessons Cancellation: 48 hours notice is required to cancel a driving lesson without penalty. Driving lessons are conducted in rain/inclement weather. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice for any reason, including weather, there will be a $90 charge for rescheduling.

Rescheduling Policy: We understand that unexpected situations can arise, leading to lesson cancellations. Rescheduling may take several weeks as we find suitable time slots. Additionally, if unforeseen issues occur on our end, such as instructor illness or vehicle problems, we will do our best to reschedule lessons as quickly as possible.

Lateness Policy: If you arrive late for your driving lesson, the session will still conclude at the originally scheduled time. Unfortunately, any lost time will not be made up, as we adhere to a strict schedule to accommodate all clients. Please ensure you arrive on time to make the most of your lesson.

No-Show Policy: The instructor will wait for 15 to 20 minutes for your scheduled lesson. If you do not arrive within this time frame, the lesson will be marked as a no-show. In this case, you will incur a $150 charge for rescheduling, or the lesson will be forfeited altogether. To avoid these penalties, please make every effort to arrive on time.

Permit/License Requirements: If a student does not have a valid Florida Learner’s Permit, Driver’s License, or International License during their scheduled driving lesson, the lesson cannot take place. In this scenario, the student will be charged a $150 fee to reschedule the lesson, or they will forfeit the lesson entirely.

Policy on Passengers During Driving Lessons: At Cantor’s Driving School, we do not allow parents, siblings, or friends to sit in the back seat during driving lessons. This policy helps minimize distractions for both the driving instructor and the student, ensuring a focused learning environment. Additionally, it complies with insurance regulations that require a limited number of occupants in the vehicle.

Impaired Policy: If an instructor suspects that a student is under the influence of illegal drugs, alcohol, or is highly medicated on prescription drugs, or falling asleep to the point of being unsafe, they will immediately halt the lesson. In this case, the lesson will be considered a complete forfeit. This policy ensures the safety of all participants and maintains a conducive learning environment.

Certificate of Completion: After 3 lessons/6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons are completed, Cantor’s Driving School will issue a Certificate of Completion. This may be helpful with car insurance; check with your provider.

Please Note: Late cancellations or lessons cancelled due to no-show or no permit/license result in a loss of income to instructors and our driving school that cannot be recovered otherwise.

Time Slots for Driving Lessons

Driving lessons on Monday to Friday are typically from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Driving lessons on the weekends are typically from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Driver’s Road Test at Cantor’s Driving School, a Florida-Authorized 3rd Party Tester

Cantor’s Driving School is authorized by the state of Florida to administer the driver’s road test. Students that pass the road test earn their driver’s license the same as taking the road test at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) center.

The Florida Drug and Alcohol, Traffic Awareness Course (DATA) / Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) four hour first time online driver’s education program is manadatory for all new Florida drivers. This online course from Cantor’s Driving School is authorized by the State of Florida.
